TERMS + CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the websites, online services, registration forms, events, and communication platforms operated by Good News Chapel Vancouver, also operating as Good News Chapel BC (“Good News Chapel,” “GNC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using our website or online services, registering for an event or program, making a donation or purchase, or otherwise interacting with our digital platforms, you agree to these Terms.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By using Good News Chapel’s websites and online services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to our services, practices, or applicable requirements. The most current version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
2. USE OF OUR WEBSITE AND SERVICES
Our websites and online services are provided primarily for church, ministry, informational, registration, communication, giving, and related purposes.
You agree to use our websites and services only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with the operation or security of our websites, attempt unauthorized access to our systems or data, or use our services in a way that could harm Good News Chapel or others.
3. EVENT AND PROGRAM REGISTRATION
Good News Chapel may offer online registration for conferences, services, youth and young adult events, ministry programs, outreach initiatives, and other activities.
When registering, you agree to provide accurate and current information.
Registration does not necessarily guarantee participation or admission where capacity limitations, eligibility requirements, safety considerations, cancellations, or other circumstances apply.
Individual events or programs may also have additional requirements, acknowledgments, waivers, permissions, or terms.
4. CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Certain Good News Chapel ministries, programs, and events are intended for or may include participants under the age of 19.
Where appropriate, Good News Chapel may require information, acknowledgment, permission, or consent from a participant’s parent or legal guardian.
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for providing accurate information and reviewing any event-specific participation requirements, permissions, or acknowledgments.
Additional safety and participation policies may apply to specific children’s and youth programs.
5. SMS AND MMS COMMUNICATIONS
Good News Chapel may provide optional SMS and MMS communications for church updates, ministry information, event notifications, reminders, and other communications.
Consent and Opt-In
Where you choose to opt in to SMS or MMS communications from Good News Chapel, we may send you the types of messages described when your consent is obtained.
Providing a phone number alone does not necessarily constitute consent to receive promotional or marketing text messages where separate consent is required.
Consent to receive marketing or promotional messages is not a condition of registering for an event, participating in a ministry, making a purchase, or making a donation.

Message frequency may vary.
Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-Out
You may opt out of applicable SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.

Data Sharing
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for those purposes.
Information may be provided to service providers, telecommunications providers, aggregators, and other vendors as reasonably necessary to deliver and administer messaging services on our behalf.
6. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS
If you subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise consent to receive email communications, Good News Chapel may send you church news, ministry updates, event information, and other communications consistent with your consent.
You may unsubscribe from applicable marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe option included in the message.
Administrative or transactional communications relating to something you requested, such as an event registration, may be treated separately from optional marketing communications.
7. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO, AND LIVESTREAMING
Good News Chapel services, conferences, programs, and events may be photographed, filmed, recorded, or livestreamed.
Where appropriate, notices regarding photography or recording may be displayed or otherwise communicated.
Photographs and recordings may be used for legitimate church and ministry purposes, including websites, social media, promotional materials, livestreams, recaps, and church archives.
Additional permission or consent may be obtained where appropriate or required, particularly in connection with children and youth.
8. DONATIONS, PAYMENTS, AND PURCHASES
Good News Chapel may accept donations, registrations, purchases, or other payments through our websites or third-party payment processors.
Transactions may be subject to additional terms established by the applicable payment provider.
Event-specific refund or cancellation policies may apply where applicable.
Donations are voluntary and will be administered in accordance with applicable requirements.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise indicated, content created by or for Good News Chapel—including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, sermons, recordings, designs, and other digital materials—is owned by or licensed to Good News Chapel and may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, or commercially exploit protected content without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.
10. USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT
Where you voluntarily submit content to Good News Chapel for publication or ministry use, you represent that you have the right to provide that content.
Where appropriate, Good News Chapel may request additional permission before publicly publishing or distributing user-submitted photographs, stories, testimonials, or other materials.
Submitting information through an ordinary registration, contact, prayer request, or similar form does not, by itself, grant Good News Chapel permission to publicly publish that information.
11. PRIVACY
Our collection, use, disclosure, storage, and protection of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using our websites and online services, you acknowledge that personal information may be handled as described in that policy and in accordance with applicable law.
12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Good News Chapel may use or link to third-party platforms and service providers for functions such as event registration, church management, communications, website hosting, payments, livestreaming, and other services.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
Good News Chapel is not responsible for the content or independent practices of third-party websites that we do not operate.
13. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate and available online services, but we do not guarantee that our websites or services will always be uninterrupted, completely secure, error-free, or current.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of our websites or online services when reasonably necessary.
14. EVENT CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
Event dates, times, locations, speakers, schedules, programming, and other details may change.
Good News Chapel may modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel an event when reasonably necessary.
Where applicable, registered participants will be informed of significant changes using the contact information provided during registration.
15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Good News Chapel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising solely from the use or inability to use our websites or online services.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights, obligations, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
16. TERMINATION OR RESTRICTION OF ACCESS
Good News Chapel may restrict or terminate access to its websites or online services where reasonably necessary, including in cases of misuse, unlawful activity, security concerns, or violations of these Terms.
17. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our practices, services, technology, or applicable requirements.
